Yesterday I was able to sing in general conference in the Saturday afternoon session. It was a wonderful experience and I will always remember it! Elder Holland and his son Mathew Holland (the president of UVU) came up and said that our choir was the best one he knew of. They were only a few feet away from me when they came up! President Monson went down into the audience before conference started and shook hands with one of his old friends, that was neat to see.
It all went really well, and I was able to really feel the spirit in our singing and in the spoken word. Afterwords, the old primary president came up to us and told us that we did better than the Tabernacle choir! We were happy to know that the people listening could feel the spirit of the music and be inspired.

One year ... and a little bit longer... and family history
Well it officially has been over a year since I last blogged. I don't know if that is a record or not, but whatever. So I decided the other day that I will start blogging because it is a really good way to look back later and see what was going on in my life.
I recently have been working on my family history and just today I was able to connect with my grandma's cousins son through Ancestry.com! I am grateful to live in a day when modern technology enables us to connect with long lost relatives who can help us with our efforts in family history.
